Giving a treat to the readers, Mathrubhumi Onam Special Edition has been released in two volumes. With 25 stories penned by authors of five generations, from T Padmanabhan to Abin Joseph, and 25 poems written by poets of five generations from Satchidanandan to Lopa, Mathrubhumi is all set to enrich the reading experience in this Onam season.
The most attractive content in the special edition is the life story of superstar Mohanlal. For the first time, the great actor is opening up about his life before entering the film industry and the long journey suffering humiliation and hardships after the first movie 'Thiranottam'.
Another notable item is the life story of veteran actor Nedumudi Venu. He talks about his life which is full of drama and nostalgia and the relationship with Thakazhi, Fasil, John Abraham, Kavalam and Aravindan. Murali Kannampilly, who was once a most wanted Maoist in the country, has shared his experiences in the Yerwada prison with the readers in the Onam special edition.
The long conversation between artist Kabita Mukhopadhyay and dancer Pallavi Krishnan about the true Bengalis who are totally forgotten by the Keralites is another major attraction in the special edition of Mathrubhumi. They discuss about the art and cultural heritage of Bengal and its political background.
The initial chapters of the novels 'Evidamividam' by Kalpetta Narayanan and 'Jnanabharam' by E Santhosh Kumar also can be read in the Onam edition. Also the stories and poems written by 50 writers can be read by scanning the QR code given in the magazine.
