Kozhikode: Mathrubhumi Books has published Malayalam translation of Upanishads, the Vedic Sanskrit texts, which are considered as religious teachings and ideas.

The translated version is titled ‘Upanishad Kavyatharavali’. Writer and translator Joy Vazhayil has translated Upanishads to Malayalam in a simple and poetic language.

The book contains 14 Upanishads including Ishavasyopanishad, Kenopanishad, Kathopanishad, Shwethashwatharam and Kousheethaki.

An article penned by Prof Omchery N N Pillai also has been included in the book. The 784-page book costs Rs 800. The book is available at showrooms and website of Mathrubhumi Books.
