Malayalam translation of former RBI governor Dr YV Reddy's autobiography released

Kozhikode: Former Governor of Reserve Bank of India Dr Y Venugopal Reddy's autobiography has been translated into Malayalam titled 'Daivam Chirikkunnu'.

The autobiography was translated into Malayalam by Dr E M Thomas, former associate professor of Christ College in Irinjalakuda.

Calicut University vice chancellor Dr K M Jayaraj released the book by handing it over to Dr Balakrishnan Pulapre of Delhi Ashoka University at an event organised at Calicut University campus.

Dr Y V Reddy played a key role in economic reformation in modern India and his life is full of extraordinary experiences. The book is considered as a guide to those who are employed in economics and banking sector.

Dr Y V Reddy who initiated ATM revolution in India was later honoured with Padma Bhushan. His autobiography includes many unknown information including the transfer of gold to the Bank of England in connection with the Balance of Payment crisis.
