Thiruvananthapuram: For the first time in history, a Malayalam book was released from the bottom of the sea in Thiruvananthapuram. The collection of poems ‘Sravinte Chirakulla Pennu’ (Shark winged girl) written by Paul Sunny, which depicts the lives of the coastal villages in Southern Travancore, their language and culture was published by Mathrubhumi Books.

Poet D Anilkumar handed over the first copy of the book to deep-sea researcher and the first woman scuba diver from the Kerala coast Aneesha Ani Benedict at Vizhinjam port.

Aneesha’s scuba diving has been the inspiration behind the poetic collection of Paul Sunny.
