Writer Shyna's latest novel 'Jalanayani' published by Mathrubhumi Books has been released by noted author Sarah Joseph. While releasing the book through Facebook page of Mathrubhumi Books, Sarah Joseph opined that a book like 'Jalanayani' is relevant when flood havoc is no more a novel experience for human beings.

Jalanayani
"Humans were conquered by the thought that they are supposed to overpower the nature for fulfilling their needs. Even the language was influenced by this concept and usages like 'taming the nature' were coined as a result. All these indicated the victory of human beings. 'Jalanayani' shows the deep crack developed in the relationship between humans and nature," Sarah Joseph said.

This book is written in the backdrop of the flood havocs occurred here. It has been divided into four sections - migration, river, dams and the flood havoc. The novel is a mirror held against the present day life. It is very hard to portray real life events in novels. 'Jalanayani' provides a good reading experience starting from the death of a girl named Elcy and make us feel the current world, she added.

'Jalanayani' is available at showrooms and website of Mathrubhumi Books. Readers can order the book worth Rs 260 via online at a discount of 15 percent.
