Ambalappuzha: Dr M Leelavathy won the Thakazhi award for the year 2021. The award was constituted by Thakazhi Smaraka Samiti and includes Rs 50,000, a citation and a plaque.
The Samiti headed by Chairman G Sudhakaran noted that Dr M Leelavathy who enriched the language of Malayalam and literature through her years of literary life is an irreplaceable figure as a literary critic.
The award will be handed over to Dr M Leelavathy on Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai’s birthday which falls on April 17 at a function held in Sankaramangalam.
