Archaeologist K K Muhammed's autobiography soon to be translated into more languages

The book was titled ‘Mein Hu Bharateeya’ in Hindi, ‘Nenu Bharatheeyudini’ in Telugu and ‘Nenu Emba Bharateeya’ in Kannada.

Kollam: The autobiography ‘Njanenna Bharatheeyan’ of noted archaeologist K K Muhammed, who was honoured with Padma Shri, is trending in other Indian languages also. Published by Mathrubhumi Books, the book has already completed five editions in Malayalam and entered second edition in Kannada.

Apart from the Hindi, Telugu and Kannada versions, the book will soon be published in Marathi. The English version penned by the author himself will come out shortly. Translation into Gujarati and Bengali also is progressing.

The book was titled ‘Mein Hu Bharateeya’ in Hindi, ‘Nenu Bharatheeyudini’ in Telugu and ‘Nenu Emba Bharateeya’ in Kannada. The Marathi version is not titled yet. The entire money earned from the sales of the book, except for the one in Malayalam, is spent for the welfare of cancer patients.

The book was prepared by Aneesh Kuttan in Malayalam. Beyond the autobiographical narrative, the book was widely discussed for the details regarding the archaeological heritage of India and the issues like Babri Masjid controversy.

K K Muhammed stated in the autobiography that there are evidences to prove the existence of a temple in the controversial site as some sculptures seen in the place are commonly found in the temples built in AD 11-12 period.
