Panamaram (Wayanad): Those who visit the Mini Mixed Dairy Farm owned by Joseph Thomas at Nadavayal here can see the ‘Milma’ calf that went viral on social media. The calf was born with a spot similar to the Milma logo on its forehead. On seeing this, the family named the calf ‘Milma’.

Milma calf was born on January 17 in the farm. Though the mark was on the calf’s forehead by birth, the family noticed it only after two days. Following this, they informed Malabar Milma. The authorities visited the farm and posted the news and the calf’s picture on social media went viral shortly.

Joseph and wife Reenamol have been running a dairy farm on 20 cents of land near their house for the last 4 years. Along with dairy farm, they also rear chicken, goat and buffalo. There are five cows in the farm. The cows are pure jersey and cross breeds. They sell upto 70 litres of milk per day.
