Zero votes for P.K. Biju in Anamada booth; Party demands report
Nelliyambathy: CPM State committee has sought immediate report in the case of zero votes for P.K Biju at the Anamada booth in the Nelliyampathy grama panchayath governed by CPM. It was through district secretariat that the report was sought from Nelliyampathy local secretary.
P. K Biju received zero votes from the Anamada booth that is part of the second ward in the grama panchayath. There are 94 voters in this booth in total and among them 34 came to vote. UDF candidate Ramya Haridas received 32 votes and the rest 2 votes were bagged by an independent candidate Krishnankutti Kunissery.
The party workers complained earlier that the CPM sub-committees had not taken any move actively in the election campaign of P.K. Biju. There is also a demand for action against the ones who gave false information.
The local committee is of the stance that they have visited all the houses twice and that there is only one house that has affinity towards the party. Hence an agent from the nearby Pulayampara booth was posted there as the booth agent. In the elections of 2014, P.K. Biju had received 6 votes from this booth.
