Would resign as MLA only if I win LS polls; PV Anvar takes a U-Turn
Nilambur: P V Anvar has reversed his previous stand that he would resign as MLA and end his political career if he lost the Lok Sabha polls from Ponnani constituency.
"What I said was I will have to resign from Nilambur as MLA if I win from Ponnani, which is 100 percent sure. I am firm on it even now. I need not resign from Nilambur for losing the polls in Ponnani. I won’t resign and my resignation would remain as a daydream for some," Anvar said.
Also Anvar claimed that he is sure of winning with a majority of more than 15,000 votes in Ponnani. If everything is favourable, the majority will be above 50,000, he said. Earlier during the poll campaign, Anvar had said that he would end his political career if he could not win the polls from Ponnani.
