New Delhi: BJP former state president and national executive committee member V. Muraleedharan is likely to be inducted into the cabinet, said sources. Muraleedharan who was in Andhra Pradesh has been asked by the leadership to reach Delhi on Thursday morning. As per the direction, he has arrived at Delhi this morning.
Muraleedharan who started his political career through ABVP is presently a member of the Rajya Sabha. He is considered for cabinet position due to his seniority in the party. It is likely that more than one leader from Kerala could be appointed as union minister.
Apart from Muraleedharan, Kummanam Rajasekharan also has reached Delhi as directed by the leadership. In addition to them, Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi and minister in previous cabinet Alphons Kannanthanam also are considered.
If two leaders from Kerala are inducted in the cabinet, Kummanam Rajasekharan and V. Muraleedharan are more likely to be selected.
