Sreedharan Pillai’s communal remark on Muslims sparks controversy
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president PS Sreedaran Pillai made a communal remark about Muslims at an election programme. His controversial remark came at the campaign venue in Attingal constituency.
Rahul Gandhi, Pinarayi Vijayan and Sitaram Yechury demanded the Indian armed forces to furnish the number of destroyed terrorists and their religion after the Balakot attack. If we have to identy the muslims, then it could be known by removing the clothes, Pillai said during his speech.
UDF and LDF have come out against Pillai on his remarks.
BJP is trying to gain votes by creating communal hatred. People should be alert on this. All these gimmicks by BJP won’t be fruitful in Kerala, said Muslim League general secretary PK Kunhalikutty.
DYFI leader AA Rahim said that in the wake of elections, leaders from Modi to Pillai, are slurring communalism with the aim of communally dividing Kerala.
