RMP will support UDF in Vadakara to ensure Jayarajan’s defeat
Vadakara: Leaders of the Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) on Sunday said that the party will not contest from Vadakara seat in the Lok Sabha polls. RMP leaders N Venu and K K Rama told media persons that the party will provide its support to UDF candidate in Vadakara with an aim to defeat of CPM candidate P Jayarajan.
CPM candidate in the Vadakara constituency P Jayarajan is accused in many murder cases including that of T P Chandrasekharan and such a murderer shouldn’t be allowed to win the election. Our purpose is to vote against Jayarajan. And that is what voters who believe in democracy should do. That’s why we have decided to support UDF and would join hands across the state to fight against political violence, said K K Rama.
Since the formation of RMP, the party has fielded candidates in all elections. However, this time the party will join the election campaign of UDF to ensure Jayarajan’s defeat, said RMP state president N Venu. We never felt that our issues with CPM should be solved through discussion. We will give our last vote to UDF, added Venu.
