Thiruvananthapuram: BJP spokesperson O Rajagopal stated that their party failed to win votes of people in Nair Service Society in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP reviewed that Kummanam Rajasekharan was defeated in Thiruvananthapuram as people belonging to NSS did not vote for him.
“The desire to defeat CPM in Kerala must have influenced NSS voters. Before the polls, BJP requested them to vote impartially according to their conscience. But still we failed to win NSS votes,” said O Rajagopal.
NSS took a stand of equidistance. While reviewing votes in booth level, BJP can assume the number of votes from NSS, he added.
At the same time, the BJP leader noted that NSS voters supported for K Surendran in Pathanamthitta.
