LDF will sweep polls; BJP will never open account, says Kodiyeri
Kannur: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan expressed hope for LDF’s victory in Lok Sabha polls. He stated that the rise in voter turnout indicates a big victory for LDF. He was addressing the media after casting his vote in Kannur.
“In Lok Sabha elections during 2004, LDF won 18 seats among the 20 seats in Kerala. The rise in voter turnout led to the victory. The trends in voting indicate that history will repeat in favour of LDF,” said Kodiyeri.
Meanwhile, he criticised the Election Commission for the failure to conduct polls without issues. He alleged that the arrangements of the commission were a complete failure.
“It is for the first time, we are forced to wait in queues for a long time. It is because of the drawbacks in the arrangements. The election commission should be vigilant in all booths,” he added.
At the same time, he raised sharp criticism against UDF and BJP. He declared that BJP will not open account in Kerala and NDA candidates will only secure third position in all constituencies.
