LDF govt is a disaster like the floods: Mullappally Ramachandran
Kozhikode: KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran said that the LDF government led by Pinarayi Vijayan was a disaster like the floods that devastated the state last year and that the Lok Sabha poll results have proved it.
Addressing a press conference here, Mullappally Ramachandran said that the polls result was a reply to the arrogance of chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
“LDF candidate from Kannur, P K Sreemathy could not even secure a lead in the chief minister’s constituency. Chief minister’s ‘stay away’ remark to media was boomeranged to him by the public. People have demanded him to stay away. Public rejected LDF at 123 assembly constituencies. Respecting the verdict by public, the chief minister should tender his resignation,” said Mullappally.
In 2004, the present chief minister and party secretary had demanded A K Antony to resign when the then government faced a similar situation. Why don’t they resign now that they are facing a similar situation, asked the KPCC president.
If there was a Nobel prize for arrogance, I would give it to the chief minister. Election result is the response to him for calling those in the public domain savages, tyrants and scoundrels. Now it feels like, the public is calling him back all these names, added Mullappally.
