Criticism through Congress mouthpiece; Abdullakutty lashes out at Sudheeran
Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress mouthpiece has harshly criticised party leader A. P. Abdullakutty by publishing an editorial regarding his Facebook post praising prime minister Narendra Modi. The editorial alleged that Abdullakutty has a habit of cheating on his own party and now he wants to join the BJP.
The article also said that Abdullakutty once came out of CPM and joined Congress with intention to hold on to power. Now he is plotting to move to BJP with the same intention. Seeing Congress in a weak state and BJP flourishing all over the country, he came up with praises on Modi. Abdullakutty also wishes to represent BJP in Manjeshwaram bypolls as he could not contest the LS polls from Kasaragod, the editorial alleged.
Soon after the editorial led to a controversy, Abdullakutty responded that those who wrote the article against him had called Indira Gandhi a female Hitler. He also lashed out at Congress leader V. M. Sudheeran that he is waging personal vendetta in connection with four lane highway development issue. He added that he has no intention to join BJP and his FB post was mere analysis of the poll results.
Abdullakutty further said that he had also appreciated the development strategy of Pinarayi Vijayan. It was only a perspective of development. When asked whether he is still a Congress worker, he told the media that they should ask the same to Mullappally Ramachandran.
