Campaign reaches final phase; Priyanka Gandhi, Smriti Irani to reach Wayanad on Saturday
Kalpetta: With the Lok Sabha election campaign nearing its final phase, national leaders of various parties keep coming to Kerala. AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will visit Wayanad to woo votes for her brother and AICC president Rahul Gandhi who is contesting the polls from there. She will address the voters at election meetings to be held at Mananthavady, Areekode and Nilambur under Wayanad constituency.
Priyanka Gandhi will arrive at Kannur airport on Saturday morning and will reach Mananthavady by a chopper. Later, she will visit the residence of martyr Vasanthakumar who was killed in Pulwama terror attack. She will also visit a farmers’ meet at Pulppally and then go to Areekode. She will stay at Vythiri on Saturday night and will return on Sunday morning.
Union minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani will visit Wayanad to campaign for NDA candidate Thushar Vellappally. She will take part in the road show and election meeting to be held by NDA in Sultan Bathery.
Veteran Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is taking part for election campaign at Wayanad on Friday. CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan also will reach Wayanad on Saturday.
