BJP national leadership not pleased over Kerala unit’s performance
New Delhi: BJP national leadership has stated that they are not completely satisfied with the performance of BJP Kerala unit in the Lok Sabha Elections. The party will decide matters including whether the state president should be changed. BJP national secretary in-charge of Kerala Y. Satya Kumar clarified that at least three seats were expected in the state.
There were many factors that influenced the poll debacle of BJP in Kerala. The major reason was the consolidation of the minority votes. With this, it is clear that the national leadership is not considering the increase in vote share in the state as an achievement. They had expected victory in 2-3 seats in the backdrop of the favourable situations.
However, the national leadership is of the opinion that the state unit has the joint liability in this matter. It also evaluated that the state unit failed to take advantage of the favourable factors. This is likely to lead to a total reorganisation in the state leadership, it is learnt.
Meanwhile, state president P. S. Sreedharan Pillai claimed that the BJP national leadership is satisfied over the performance of BJP in Kerala. He had also made it clear that he was happy when they informed him of their contentment.
