'That was not my FB post'; Ramya Haridas discloses her real FB IDs
Kozhikode: Congress MP of Alathur, Ramya Haridas has responded against the messages circulated through a fake Facebook account in her name. She has come up with a clarification on the recent media hype on an FB post posted by a fake ID thanking Deepa Nishanth in a ridiculing tone. Ramya said that the post was not updated by her.
‘The things written on the post was not even imagined in my mind. The victory in Alathur was the reply to many criticisms and ridicules. It is not my style to ridicule or insult anybody. Those who created the fake account in my name should delete it,’ Ramya requested through the Facebook post.
She made it clear that she has only one Facebook account and one Facebook page and she express her opinions through these accounts only. She also shared the link of the account and page. Besides, Ramya thanked the people of Alathur for their support.
Ramya Haridas was elected with a huge margin against LDF candidate P. K. Biju. During the election campaign, Ramya was subjected to severe criticism and ridicules. College teacher Deepa Nishanth had criticised Ramya pointing out that she wooed votes by singing songs and highlighting her poor life conditions. Deepa also was condemned for her comments.
Deepa Nishanth was earlier involved in a controversy related to poetry plagiarism. She had published under her name a poem originally written by poet S. Kalesh. When the issue led to a controversy, she apologised to Kalesh.
