IUML high-power committee to seek third seat; Muraleedharan supports demand
Malappuram: Amidst the existing demand for three seats in Lok Sabha elections by the Muslim League, the party’s high power committee will be held at Panakkad on Saturday.
After the meeting, the party will officially demand to the UDF a third seat in one of Kasaragod, Vadakara or Wayanad besides its existing seats Malappuram and Ponnani. A detailed discussion on the third seat will be held in the meeting, said Muslim League general secretary P K Kunhalikutty.
Meanwhile, KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran visited Panakkad. He said that it was a courtesy visit to Hyderali Shihab Thangal and other leaders prior to the Janamaha Yatra, and not regarding the Lok Sabha seats.
However, KPCC campaign committee chairman K Muraleedharan has come forward extending support of offering three seats to Muslim League. There is nothing wrong in Muslim League demanding a third seat. Earlier, they have been given seats in Vadakara and Kasaragod and Kerala Congress was also given two seats, said Muraleedharan.
