Thiruvananthapuram: It seems the fight between Congress leader Oommen Chandy and CPM veteran VS Achuthanandan on social media is not going to end soon.

On Friday, the verbal attacks were over the remark made by the Thiruvananthapuram Additional District Sessions Court while considering the plea filed by Oommen Chandy against VS.

VS in his Facebook post said Chandy had approached the court with a demand to silence him.

“But the court gave him a fitting reply that the platform should not be made a political playground. Dear Oommen Chandy, return to poll arena. It is political cowardice to run away and hide in a hole,” VS said his post.

However, the CM shot back why he wanted to shut the mouth of a person, who has muted himself.

“VS said 131 cases are pending against the UDF ministers. When we sought evidence, a prolonged silence was his reply. Though he raised the allegation citing a Lokayukta document, now the same Lokayukta has said that no cases are pending against me," he added.

Chandy says VS is running away by changing stance on Lavalin case, evading K K Rema and delivering a one-line speech at Poonjar.
