Prathapan sought Kaipamangalam seat, say reports
New Delhi: T N Prathapan, who earlier took a stance that he was withdrawing from the poll fray to give chance to youth and women, had demanded Kaipamangalam seat, say reports.
It is learnt that Prathapan shot off a letter to AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi seeking the seat.
Rahul had read out the letter at the election committee meeting on Friday. On this basis, a consensus was reached to allot the seat to Prathapan.
However, Prathapan had said that he was contesting the polls owing to the pressure exerted on him by the party high command and Rahul.
Prathapan had handed over the letter to KPCC two weeks ago and Sudheeran had read it out at the state election committee meeting.
Further, Sudheeran wanted those who have already contested 4-5 times and facing allegations to withdraw from poll fray.
