Thiruvananthapuram: Minister P K Kunhalikutty has said that there were no issues regarding Thiruvambady seat, and that there would be no more discussions on the 20 seats for which the Muslim League has announced candidates. He said this after the meeting with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, KPCC president V M Sudheeran, and minister Ramesh Chennithala.

"It was not a bilateral meeting. After the Congress completes meetings with other constituent parties, discussions will be held seeking more seats," he said.

Earlier, the Thamarassery diocese and the Malayora Vikasana Samithi had opposed the candidature of V M Ummer Master in Thiruvambady, but the League was firm on its stance that Ummer Master would not be changed.
