Summer Fellowship Programme at IIT Madras: Apply from January 12
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM), has announced its Summer Fellowship Programme for 2020.
The IITM-Summer Fellowship Programme with stipend is designed to enhance awareness and interest in high quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences and Humanities students through a goal oriented summer mini-project undertaken at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. The two months programme is to be held from 20th May 2020 to 19th July 2020. The schedule may be flexible to suit student’s convenience.
Eligibility: Applicant should be pursuing 3rd year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg) or 3rd or 4th year of Integrated M.E./M.Tech. programme or 1st year of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A or MBA.
Those with outstanding academic background in terms of high ranks in University examinations are encouraged to apply, highlighting their academic performance and achievement including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards/distinctions obtained. IIT students are not eligible to apply.

Engineering Departments: Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Bio Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Design, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Ocean Engineering
Science Departments: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Humanities & Social Sciences: Management Studies
Stipend: Those selected will get a sum of Rs.6000/- per month as a stipend for a maximum period of 2 months.
Application: Applications can be submitted at http://sfp.iitm.ac.in/ from 12 January 2020. Application has to be submitted latest by 5 pm on 29 February 2020. Detailed instructions to fill the application are available at http://sfp.iitm.ac.in/howto. Applicant will have to provide letter from the Institute issued by the Head of Institution, in the prescribed format, to certify that he/she is a bonafide student. Hard copy of the application need not be sent to the Institute/Department.
