Scholarships for CA/CMA/CS students of minority communities
Applications have been invited by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Kerala, for the award of Scholarships for students of Minority communities studying for Chartered Accountancy/Cost and Management Accountancy/Company Secretary courses.
Applicants should be (i) studying and permanently residing in Kerala (ii) belonging to one of Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Budha, Parsi, Jain communities (iii) annual family income of the should be below 8 lakhs (iv) appearing for the final examination of one of these courses.
Priority will be given to applicants of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. Only in the absence of students of BPL category, students from Minority Communities of APL categories with income up to 8 lakhs will be considered for the scholarship. BPL applicants have to submit copy of the ration card.
Applicant should have a Bank Account in his/her name in any Nationalized Bank. Those who have received scholarships in previous years for Foundation, Intermediate, Final courses of these Programmes need not apply.
Selection will be from those applicants who score 60% marks in B.Com or other Degree holders based on merit and income. 30% scholarships are reserved for girls. The scholarship amount isRs.15000/-
Applications can be submitted online at www.minoritywelfare.kerala.gov.in latest by October 30, 2020.
The printout of the online application, with the documents specified should be submitted to ‘Director, Directorate of Minority Welfare, 4th Floor, Vikas Bhavan, Thiruvananthapurma-695033’, latest by 10th November, 2020.
