PG Scholarship for GATE/GPAT qualified students
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has invited applications for the grant of Post Graduate Scholarship for GATE / GPAT qualified students, admitted to full time Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture and Master of Pharmacy courses in AICTE approved Institutions and AICTE approved University Departments.
Those who have qualified GATE/GPAT exam after admission will not be eligible for the scholarship.
Eligibility: Applicant should have been admitted with valid GATE/GPAT score and admission should be in the non-sponsored category.
Applicant should have a general saving account in the bank in his/her name. Minor/no frills account as well as Joint accounts is not permitted. Name of the applicant and the name given in the Bank account should be same for GATE/GPAT scholarship
Applicant should not be receiving any financial assistance in shape of scholarship from any other source during his/her course of study in the Institute.
Amount: The PG Scholarship carries a cash amount of Rs. 12,400/- per month and will be tenable for 24 months or for the duration of the course, whichever is less. The Scholarship will be granted to the student on a monthly basis subject to the satisfactory academic performance and adherence to University/Institute norms/rules and regulations as applicable time to time, certified by the Head of the Institute and obligatory work as prescribed.
Post-graduate students have the obligation to undertake 8 to 10 hours (per week) of work related to teaching and research activities as assigned to him / her by the Institute for receipt of the PG Scholarship. This could include tutorials, laboratory classes, development and maintenance of laboratories, assistance in research and development activities undertaken by faculty members, maintenance and operation of Computers and other central facilities, assistance in library, etc.
Applicant will be required to give an undertaking to the effect that he / she would not leave the course midway. The Scholarship may be discontinued at any time for any kind of misconduct by the student, like involving in the act of ragging, misbehaviour etc.
Applications submitted by student though student portal will be verified by the Institute of the applicants.
