The Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM), established at Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), as part of the initiative of Ministry of AYUSH and RIS to contribute towards pragmatic policy making in the area of Indian Traditional Medicines, has invited applications from full-time PhD scholars, registered with recognised Indian Universities/ Institutes and PhD degrees holders for Doctoral and Postdoctoral Research Fellowships respectively.
Selected candidates have to undertake research that explores economic, sociological, politico-economic, trade, management, and technology related aspects of Indian Systems of Medicine with the aim of national and global promotion of these systems.
Eligibility: The Doctoral and Postdoctoral Research Fellowships are open to scholars with educational backgrounds in any of AYUSH disciplines. Additional qualification in any other specialisation especially in IT is desirable. Outstanding candidates from other disciplines may be considered.
For Doctoral Research Fellowship the upper age limit is 28 years and for Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, it is 35 years of age on the last date of application. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged and female applicants.
Duration: For Doctoral Fellowships, duration will be 2 years and for Postdoctoral Fellowship, it would be 1 year.
Fellowship Amount: Rs 5 lakh/- per year for Doctoral Fellowships and Rs 7.5 lakh/- per year for Postdoctoral Fellowship.
