Kerala Youth Leadership Academy, General Administration Department Government of Kerala has invited applications for the Young Kerala Internship Programme (YKIP)
The internship scheme is for a period of eight months (up to March 2023). Those selected will get an opportunity to work in various priority projects implemented by the Government of Kerala and other projects implemented by the district administrations. This will be implemented in association with the district collectors and district development commissioners of the respective districts. There will also be a one-month residential certificate course on Public Policy, Public Administration, Governance, Leadership and Management at IMG, Thiruvananthapuram which commences on 22nd August, 2022 (Monday).
One person each will be selected from 14 districts. A stipend of Rs 20,000/- will be given every month.
Eligibility: Applicant should be a Keralite in the age group of 21 to 32 years (those born after August 1, 1990 and before August 1, 2000 both dates inclusive). Applicants must have a degree from any recognized university.
Selection: The interns will be selected through an online examination, video upload and personal interview.
Application: Applications are to be submitted at www.reg.kyla.kerala.gov.in latest by 6 pm on 06.08.2022 (Saturday). There is no registration fee.
In Stage 1 (Preliminary Online Application), applicants are required to complete the registration to initiate the process. Once signed in, candidates shall complete their profile by entering their personal, academic, and professional details (work experience, if any). As part of the initial process, candidates will also have to attempt compulsory essay questions.
Stage 2 is the Online Assessment to be held till 8.8.2022. After completing Stage I, candidates will have to take an online assessment test that will cover General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation, and Logical Reasoning. Each question will carry one mark, and wrong answers will have a negative mark of ⅓ (0.33).
Stage 3 is the Video Upload. Candidates will be given a total of 10 questions. They have to select one question among them and record a video of a maximum of 2 minutes duration and upload the same. Video Upload is to be completed by 10.8.2022
Stage 4 is Personal Interview. An offline personal interview will be held in Trivandrum to analyze the professional ability, motive and knowledge of the candidate to qualify for the internship. Personal Interview will be from 12.8.2022 to 17.8.2022.
Stage 5 is the Rank list and Admission. Rank list will be published after completing the interview process of all candidates. Further, 14 interns will be given admission to YKIP (one intern in each District). Once the admission for YKIP is completed, the first cohort training at IMG will commence on 22nd August, 2022.
District attachment programme will commence on 25.9.2022.
