Thomas Biju Cheeramvelil
New Delhi: Thiruvananthapuram native Thomas Biju Cheeramvelil scored a perfect 100 in engineering entrance JEE-Main Session II.
24 candidates scored the maximum mark in the National Testing Agency's (NTA) etrance exam for the admission into the prime institutes in India.
Maximum candidates who have scored 100 NTA scores are from Andhra Pradesh (5) and Telangana (5), followed by Rajasthan (4).
One candidate each from Haryana, Maharashtra, Assam, Bihar, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, and Jharkhand, has also bagged the perfect score.
From Kerala, Thomas Biju ranked first among boys and Ann Mary ranked first among girls.
Thomas Biju, a former student of Vishwa Prakash Central School, Thirumala, had scored 99.99 in the previous session of the JEE Main exam. Besides, he had secured admission to the Chennai Mathematical Institute and also cleared the entrance examination to the Indian Statistical Institute.
Thomas, who has been preparing for JEE for the past two years, is the son of VSSC engineer Biju C Thomas, and Reenie Rajan, Assistant Professor at Government Women’s College.
