Students Award for Basic Science Research: Nominations by May 31

Indian Science News Association, Kolkata, has invited nomination from students currently studying in XI and XII standard for two awards; one in Physical Science and other in Life Sciences, each carrying a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- and a certificate.


The awardees will be selected based on a write-up on a proposal (no more than 2000 words) on the importance of Basic Science Research including Translational Research and their impact on Society.

Applicants must be residents of West Bengal with at least 85 % average marks received in Science Subjects in Class X board examinations.

Nominations are to be submitted to the Honorary Secretary, Indian Science News Association, 92, A.P.C. Road, Kolkata 700009, latest by 31st May, 2022, through the Head of the Institution.

The write up will be screened by an expert committee appointed by the competent authority. Selected candidates are required to present the proposal stated in the write up before an expert committee as decided by the competent authority. Awardees are required to give a seminar during award-giving ceremony.
