Kozhikode: The district-level Niyukthi job fair will be held in Malabar Christian College on November 20. The event is organised by the state labour department with the help of the district employment exchange and employment centre.
Around 100 companies from IT, hospitality, health care, technical, sales and marketing, office administration, and management sectors will attend the fair. District employment exchange authorities said that companies have notified around 5,000 vacancies. It is also estimated that the fair could guarantee jobs for around 8,000 people.
The fair will be inaugurated by Minister PA Mohammed Riyas at 9:30 am. MK Raghavan MP will be the chief guest, and Thottathil Ravindran MLA will preside over the function.
Event organisers said that the job fair has proven to be a successful platform for job aspirants to join reputed organisations. The mini job drive conducted by the labour department also received good feedback.
