Director of Medical Education, Kerala, has invited applications for admission to the Post Basic Diploma Courses - 2022, conducted at Govt. Nursing College, Thiruvananthapuram, Govt. Nursing College, Kottayam and Govt. Nursing College, Kannur.

The admission process will be done by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Trivandrum through the website, https://lbscentre.in/

The course of 12 months’ duration is offered in (i) Cardiothoracic Nursing (ii) Critical Care Nursing (iii) Emergency and Disaster Nursing (iv) Neonatal Nursing (v) Neuro Science Nursing (vi) Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery and (vii) Oncology Nursing. Details related to the distribution of seats for various categories at each institution is given in the Prospectus that can be downloaded from https://lbscentre.in/

Post Basic Diploma Courses in Specialty Nursing aims at improving the efficiency of Nurses working in the specialty departments since nurses also need to update their knowledge and skill so as to provide cost effective quality care to patients in specialty areas in the present era of scientific & technological advancement, specialization and super specialization.

The admitted candidates will be eligible for Rs.7000/- per month as stipend.

Admissions to the courses are regulated based on merit as assessed by their marks in entrance examination and skill test. The selection of candidates under Service Quota will be strictly based on their seniority and eligibility as on the last date for submission of Application form. Details are given in the Prospectus.

Academic Eligibility: Applicant should have passed B.Sc. Nursing Degree (Regular Course)/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Regular course)/General Nursing and Midwifery Course with 50% marks, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in 10+2 level. Applicant should have obtained registration from the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council.

Age: The upper age limit for General Merit candidates shall be 45 years and for Service candidates 49 years as on the date of notification of application.

Application: Application can be submitted only online at www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in.

Application Fee: Application fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC / ST candidates). Application fee can be paid online or by cash in any branch of Federal Bank in Kerala, using the Chalan that can be generated while submitting the online application. In the case of Service candidates, application fee should be remitted in any Govt. Treasury. Details are given in the Prospectus.

The last date for submission of online application and payment of application fee is 27.8.2022.
