Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Govt. of India, Department of Space, Thiruvananthapuram-695 547, has invited applications for admission to the Young Talent Nurture-2018 to be held between 14th May and 26th May, 2018.
The aim of the Programme is to nurture young mathematical talents through promotion of pathological questioning, logical and critical thinking and problem solving; and to prepare them for higher aspects of Mathematics.
Topics to be covered include Integral Calculus, Linear Algebra, Vector Calculus and Modern Algebra.
Eligibility: Applicant should have completed 2nd year/3rd semester of B.Sc. B.Tech./ Integrated M.Sc. with Mathematics as one of their subjects.
Application: Applications are to be submitted online at https://www.iist.ac.in/ytn2018regn latest by 30th April, 2018.
Filing up contact details, preferably email, of a Mathematics Professor with whom the applicant is closely acquainted is mandatory. The format of the letter can be downloaded from https://www.iist.ac.in/ytn2018. Last date for receiving the recommendation letter is 1st May, 2018.
Selection: Selection will be purely on merit, based on academic record and the letter of recommendation from a Mathematics Professor with whom the applicant is closely acquainted. List of selected candidates will be published on 2nd May, 2018. Only selected candidates will be intimated about their selection by 1st week of May, 2018.
Candidates selected for the Programme will be provided free boarding and lodging for the duration of the Programme. A
