University exams postponed as per Governor's direction
Thiruvananthapuram: Various universities in Kerala have postponed all examinations considering the Covid surge in the state. Calicut University, MG University, Kannur University, Malayalam University and Health University informed that all exams scheduled for Monday have been postponed. The revised dates will be informed later.
The universities decided to postpone the exams as the Governor directed all vice chancellors to postpone the exams on Sunday. Other universities have not informed their decision yet. The Governor directed that it is ideal to postpone the exam considering the safety of students during Covid times.
Earlier, students and parents had requested the universities to postpone the exams. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala also requested to consider if the exams should be continued in Covid situation.
