Thrissur girl bags Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship
Thrissur: A researcher from the district has been selected for the Prime Minister's Research Fellows (PMRF) Scheme, the highest of its kind in the country. Reshma Ramakrishnan, daughter of Kuzhikkattussery Annallur natives Ramakrishnan and Molly, has won the PM’s research fellowship.
She is currently doing her research in Chemistry at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru.
In the first two years of research, Rs 70,000 per year will be provided while in third year it is Rs 75,000 and for the fourth and fifth year it will be Rs 80,000 each. Apart from this, Rs 2 lakh every year will be provided as special grant for the five years of research.
Reshma graduated in Integrated PG with INSPIRE scholarship from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Bhopal.
She completed her school studies from the St Mary’s School in Kuzhikkattussery.
She has a sister Greeshma.
