SSLC, HSE half-yearly examinations: Only three students in one bench
Thiruvananthapuram: General education director has issued an order stating that only three students should be seated on a bench while conducting the SSLC and Higher Secondary half-yearly examinations. Earlier Joint Director Examination had issued a circular stating that five students will be seated on a bench.
The new order has been issued in the wake of Mathrubhumi article titled ‘Oru Benchil Anchuper: Pareeksha Pareekshanamavum’ (Five in one bench: Exam will be an experiment) published in daily on December 3.
In the new order it is said that the arrangement should be such that a Class 10 student between two Plus One/Two students or a Plus One/Two student between two SSLC students.
If there are enough classrooms available in the school, SSLC and HSE examinations can be held separately. If so Plus One and Plus Two students should be seated alternately with three on a bench. In classrooms where SSLC exams are conducted only two should be seated on a bench, the order further said.
