Skill Up-gradation Training Programme of NORKA ROOTS
Thiruvananthapuram: NORKS ROOTS, a Government of Kerala Undertaking, Norka Centre at Thycaud here under the Non-Resident Keralites’ Affairs Department (NORKA), has invited applications for Employment Skill Training for those seeking employment abroad.
Training will be imparted in selected courses that have opportunities abroad, particularly in the Gulf countries, through selected Industrial Training Institutes, Polytechnics and through Centres of LBS Centre for Science & Technology in Kerala.
Those who successfully complete the course will be awarded approved certificates. Training will also be imparted in Spoken English, Computer Operations and Personality Development, along with the Skill Training.
The duration of the course will be 3 months. Applicants should be in the age group of 18 to 45 years.
Around 92 courses are offered through ITIs, 43 through LBS Centres and 36 through Polytechnics. Courses are available for ITI/SSLC/Diploma/B.Tech qualified students. Details are available in the concerned links at http://norkaroots.net/skillupgradation.htm#

The duly filled up applications are to be forwarded to the Institutions along with One Passport size photograph, Copy of valid passport and copy of qualifying certificate, latest by 10th November, 2017.
Interested candidates needs pay only 20% of the total course fee, as prescribed in the course details. The total duration of the course is 300 hours. Number of trainees is limited to 20 in each batch. On successful completion of the course, the certificates will be issued from Norka-Roots.
