New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday orally approved the admissions to three self-financing medical colleges in Kerala.
A detailed order approving admissions to Mount Zion medical college in Adoor, Al-Azhar medical college in Thodupuzha and DM medical college in Wayanad will be issued later, the court said while considering a plea filed by the managements.
The tussle between managements and Medical Council of India (MCI) will affect the future of the students, the court observed.
A total of 400 students had secured admissions to the three colleges.
The MCI had cancelled the admissions citing lack of basic facilities in the colleges. Challenging this, the managements had moved the Apex court.
