SC allows students above 25 years to apply for NEET; Last date may be extended
New Delhi: In an interim relief to medicine aspirants, the Supreme Court on Thursday allowed candidates of 25 and above, to appear for NEET UG 2019 examination. The SC directed the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is conducting the exam, to receive applications for NEET UG 2019 from all candidates.
NEET UG 2019 will be conducted on May 5, 2019. Earlier the upper age limit to apply was fixed at 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories.
SC bench headed by Justice Bobde has posted the case to February for disposal.

However, the bench said that their admission will be subjected to the final outcome of the case on validity of CBSE's decision to fix upper age limit.
