Paramedical UG programmes at AIIMS: First counselling on July 9
The 1st counselling for allocation of seats for admission to various paramedical courses offered at various All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for the session August, 2019 will be held on Tuesday, the 9th July, 2019 at 9 a.m. sharp.
Admissions are being offered to (i) Bachelor of Optometry (ii) B.Sc. (H) Medical Technology in Radiography (iii) Dental operating Room Assistant (iv) Dental Hygine (v) Operation Theatre Technology (vi) Operation Theatre and Anaesthesiology Technology (OTAT) (vii) Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) (viii) Medical Technology in Radiography (MTR) (ix) Medical Technology in Radiotheraphy and (x) Bachelor of Optometry at various AIIMS.
The Entrance Examination for admission to these courses was held on 15th June, 2019 and results were declared on 25th June 2019, available at www.aiimsexams.org.
Those in the rank lists are to report to the Academic Section AIIMS New Delhi on the above mentioned date and time along with rank letter and original certificates. In case of selection for admission on the basis of first counselling, candidate is required to appear for medical examination to be held on Monday, 29th July, 2019 at 9 a.m.
Those who fail to report for 1st counselling will not be considered for 2nd counselling.
The 2nd counselling will be held on Friday, the 26th July, 2019 at 9 a.m subject to the availability of seats for August, 2019 session.
Candidates may report to the Academic Section for 2nd counselling on Friday, the 26th July, 2019 at 9 a.m. The selected candidates during the second counselling will be medically examined on Monday 29th July, 2019 at 9 a.m.
In case the selected candidate on the basis of 1st and 2nd counselling do not report for medical examination the offer made to them will be treated as cancelled/withdrawn.
The selected candidates, after they are found medically fit, are required to join immediately and no extension for joining will be entertained.
Those candidates who have been allotted confirmed seats in the 1st counselling will not be eligible/ considered for 2nd counselling.
In each category the number of candidates called for counselling will be 8 times the number of seats. Candidates in order of merit will exercise their choice of subjects/course according to availability of seats in their respective category.
Out of the total seats (excluding AIIMS reserved seats) 27% seats are reserved for OBC candidate, 15% of seats are reserved for the Scheduled Caste candidates, 7.5% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe and 5% seats are reserved for PWBD candidates. In case suitable candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories are not available, the vacant seats will be filled in by the candidates from the general category.
In case any candidate is not able to appear in person on the notified date(s) for personal appearance, he/she can send his/her authorized representative with an undertaking and authority letter for allotment (proforma of undertaking and authority letter is given at Appendix II and III) along with original certificates/documents mentioned, for verification. The allotment made to the authorized representative shall be binding on the candidate. However, the candidates are required to join immediately after medical examination.
If the candidate/person authorized by the candidate reports without original documents, they will not be allowed to participate in the counselling procedure for allotment of seats.
In case the candidate/his/her representative fails to report by 10 am, he/she will be marked absent and the next candidate in merit will be considered.
