Thiruvananthapuram: The first allotment to paramedical courses to the LBS Centre for Science and Technology was cancelled on Monday. New allotment to courses including D.Pharm and Diploma in Health Inspector will be announced on Wednesday.
The new allotment was necessitated after government issued new order regarding 3-year course Diploma in Radio Therapy. The course has been split to two courses: 2-year Diploma in Radiological Technology and 3-year Diploma in Radio Diagnosis and Radio Therapy Technology.
LBS Centre Director said that the allotment was cancelled so as to enable students to rearrange their options for which facility was given on Tuesday.
Earlier, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board had said that those who completed 2-year Diploma in Radiological Technology won’t be allowed to work as Radio Therapy Technologist. In this wake, the special course is being introduced.
LBS conducts allotment to 2-year Diploma course in 12 colleges and 3-year Diploma courses in 8 colleges.
The re-allotment will be published on November 27. The college options provided by students in rank list for first allotment will be kept maintained. And the fees remitted will be considered for the new allotment.
