No fresh COVID case; Lakshadweep to open schools from September 21
Kavaratti: Schools in Lakshadweep, which were closed due to COVID-19, will reopen from September 21.
The authorities have granted permission to stop online classes and reopen schools after observing that no fresh COVID positive case was reported in the union territory. The schools will be allowed to function on alternate days or after reducing the working hours.
Each student should bring a permission letter written and signed by parents to attend the school, read an order regarding the school reopening. The schools must follow the guidelines issued by the authorities.
Strict restrictions were imposed in Lakshadweep soon after the country reported COVID cases in the initial phase.
