NEET result on Oct 16; Another chance for candidates who missed exam
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday instructed the National Testing Agency to provide one more chance to candidates who had missed the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2020 due to Covid crisis.
The re-exam will be conducted on October 14.
SC also instructed NTA to declare the results of NEET UG 2020 on October 16 against the earlier scheduled date of October 12.
A petition was filed in SC by parents of candidates who missed the entrance exam due to Covid or being stuck in containment zones. Following this the apex court asked NTA to give them one more chance.
NEET UG 2020 was conducted all over India on September 13 adhering to Covid protocol. However, 10-15 percent of 15.97 lakh candidates had missed the exam. The candidates who had tested positive for Covid or who were stuck in containment zones will get another opportunity on October 14.
