National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE-2021) for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Course at the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT) for the Academic Year 2021-22. The Three-Year (Six Semester) course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector.
Eligibility: Applicant should have passed 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects, from a recognized Educational Board and must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in NCHM JEE 2021 provisionally, subject to submission of proof of passing qualifying examination latest by 30 September 2021.
List of examinations equivalent to 10+2 include Plus two level examinations of recognized Central/State Boards, Intermediate/two-year Pre-University Examination of recognized Board/ University; Senior Secondary School Examination of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)/State Board of Open Schooling with minimum 5 subjects including English as Subjects; H.S.C. Vocational Examination approved by NCVT and SCVT of concerned State/UT. Some foreign qualifying courses are also accepted, details of which are given in the Information Bulletin that can be downloaded from https://nchmjee.nta.nic.in/
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 25 years as on 1 July 2021 for applicant of General/General (EWS)/OBC categories (Those born on or after July 1, 1996 are eligible). For SC/ST/ Physically challenged applicants, it is 28 years. SC/ST and Physically challenged candidates born on or after July 1, 1993 are eligible.
NCHMHEE will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will be held on 12th June 2021 (Saturday) from 9 am to 12 noon at Examination Centres given at Annexure-V of the Information Bulletin available at https://nchmjee.nta.nic.in/. Applicant has to select four cities of their choice while filling Online Application Form for NCHM JEE 2021.
The Paper comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude (30 questions); Reasoning and Logical Deduction (30); General Knowledge & Current Affairs (30); English Language (60) and Aptitude for Service Sector (50). Each question carries four 4 marks. One mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
Online Applications can be submitted latest by 5 pm on 10 May 2021 at https://nchmjee.nta.nic.in/
Application fee is Rs.1000/- for General (UR)/ OBC-(NCL), Rs.700/- for Gen-EWS and Rs.450/- for SC/ST /PwD/Transgender. The Fee can be paid online through payment gateway, using debit/credit cards or internet banking or Paytm, latest by 11.50 on 10 May 2021.
