NCERT Doctoral Fellowship
Kochi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has invited applications from eligible candidates for Doctoral Fellowship for the year 2016. The objective of the scheme is to provide opportunities to young scholars to research the field of education from different disciplinary perspectives and to build the knowledge base of education in the contemporary context.
The priority areas of research include Pyscho-social development of students, circular practices, Education for Peace, classroom processes and practices and Education of the disadvantaged. There are 10 candidates who will get this fellowship opportunity. The candidates should have good academic record. The candidates should have minimum 60% marks at both Graduate and Post Graduate level. The candidates should have registered for Ph.D in a recognized university. The age limit of appearing for the fellowship is 35 years.
The fellows will receive a fellowship of Rs 12,000 per month (for Non-NET) and Rs 16000 per month for a maximum period of three years from the date of permanent Ph.D registration and date of selection in NCERT. They will also receive a contingency grant of Rs 10,000 per annum during this period.
