Medical/Dental seats under Ministry of Defence Quota; NEET-qualified candidates can apply
Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (Kendriya Sainik Board Sectt), Ministry of Defence, has invited applications for admission to the reserved defence seats in Medical/Dental colleges as Government of India Nominee under Ministry of Defence Quota for 2020-21.
There are approximately 35 to 38 seats in Medical Colleges and 1 to 3 seats in Dental Colleges, subject to allotment of seats by Ministry of Health for sons/ daughters/ widows/wives of Armed Forces Personnel of different categories of Defence personnel.
Priority and the categories of Defence personnel eligible are as follows.
I: Widow/Wards of Defence personnel killed in action
II: Wards of disabled in action and boarded out from service
III. Widows/Wards of Defence personnel who died while in service with death attributable to military service
IV. Wards of disabled in service and boarded out with disabiity attributable to military service
V. Wards of Ex-Servicemen and serving personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards
VI. Wards of Ex-Servicemen
VII. Wives of (i) defence personnel disabled in action and boarded out from service (ii) defence personnel disabled in service and boarded out with disability attributable to military service Iiii) ex-servicemen and serving personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards

IX. Wives of Serving Personnel
All cases of disability ‘Aggravated by Military Service’ and are not entitled disability pension are not eligible for P-II & P-IV. They can apply for P-VI to P-IX as applicable.
Eligibility: Selection of candidates for reserved seats as Govt of India Nominee will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in NEET-2020. Candidates who do not qualify the NEET should not apply. Wards of Civilians are not eligible
