Thiruvananthapuram: The first phase of the counselling for engineering admissions will take place by June 30, said Controller of Entrance Examinations, PK Sudheer Babu. The procedures will be completed by August 15. The procedures will be in a way that doesn’t cause any difficulty to students, he said while speaking after inaugurating the Mathrubhumi professional course guidance seminar ‘Ask Expert’ at Thiruvananthapuram.
The counselling for medical courses will commence around June last week and end by August 18.
He urged the students to make use of the seminar opportunity to know in detail about the engineering/medical admission procedures. Former Joint Entrance Commissioner Dr S Santhosh and Dr Rajoo Krishnan talked about state medical admissions and NEET all India admissions.
Kerala Veterinary University entrepreneurship department director Dr TP Sethumadhavan took class on Medical and Allied Courses and their possibilities while CUSAT examination Controller Dr Sunil Narayanankutty explained on the procedures for CUSAT engineering admissions.
The seminar also included special panel discussion for doubt clearance which was actively participated by students and parents.
Dr S Sundar, Former JEE Advanced Chairman and IIT Madras Mathematics department chief, talked about JEE Main/Advanced admissions.
Engineering branches and placement possibilities were discussed by Kannur Engineering College Electronics and Communication department chief Dr KA Nava and FISAT professor Dr Unnikartha.
Classes on BTech admissions at IITs and course details were engaged by former professor at IIT Madras, Dr Krishnan Swaminathan.
Ask Expert 2018 will be held at Ernakulam TDM Hall on May 31, 2018.
