Mark moderation in Kerala University: Syndicate seeks Governor’s permission to nullify degree
Thiruvananthapuram: In the row over mark moderation in Kerala university, the syndicate meet decided to nullify the degree of 24 students who were illegally given moderation to pass degree. Following this, the syndicate assigned the Vice Chancellor to seek permission of the Governor, who is the Chancellor of the university, to nullify the degree.
Permission of senate will be sought to cancel the degree of the 24 students who passed with moderation marks. At the same time, answer sheets of 112 students who got moderation marks will be cancelled.
Action will be taken to hold re-examination without fees and declare the results immediately, the syndicate meeting decided.
It is alleged that moderation mark was given to 24 students illegally inserting the marks on computer. At the same time, the university asserted that it was due to software error.
