Koyilandy girl tops NEET 2020 in Kerala; secures 12th rank in national level
New Delhi: When the National Testing Agency (NTA) published the result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2020), Shoaib Afthab from Odisha secured first rank in all India level obtaining full marks of 720. Kozhikode Koyilandi native S Ayisha scored 710 out of 720 marks and secured 12th rank in national level and first in Kerala. Ayisha is daughter of A P Abdul Razak and Shemeema.
Apart from Ayisha, three other candidates from Kerala were included in the first 50 ranks. Lulu A (Rank 22), Sanish Ahmed (25) and Philemon Kuriakose (50) are the other three. The exam was written by 13,67,032 candidates on September 13 and 290 on October 14. The result is available at ntaresults.nic.in
Ayisha also secured 2nd rank in national level in OBC category. She used to attend coaching classes for NEET when she was studying in Plus Two at Government Vocational Higher Secondary School in Koyilandy. She was attending Race Medical Engineering Entrance Coaching Centre in Kozhikode.
When she first attended the exam, the rank was below 15,000. But she continued preparation and finally obtained 12th rank. She wishes to join All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. Ayisha was confident that she would secure one of the high ranks soon after she appeared for the exam. Ashfaq and Aliya are her siblings.
